Mr. Vincent Gentes of Woonsocket, R.I., and Mrs. Loretta Gentes of Johnston, R.I., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa M. Gentes of Milton to James Hunt, son of Richard and Susan Hunt of Milton.

Lisa Gentes is a graduate of Simmons College and holds a Master of Education degree from Lesley University. She is the Local Editor for Canton Patch.

James Hunt is a graduate of Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass Amherst and works as an Assistant Superintendent at Franklin Park Golf Course in Boston.

An October wedding is planned.
