John J. Regan, 53, a retired lieutenant with the Milton Fire Department, died at Quincy Medical Center Sept. 7. Born in Boston, he was raised in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Catholic Memorial High School (1974) and Northeastern University (1979). Mr. Regan joined the Milton Fire Department in 1984, retiring after 25 years in September 2009.
Ret. Lt. Regan was the son of the late Joseph V. and Mary (Connors) Regan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church Monday, Sept. 13 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home are Sunday, Sept. 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
