Obituary: Rev. William F. Kenneally

Rev. Kenneally was a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston for 57 years. Fr. Kenneally was born in Roxbury and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School, Class of 1942. He attended Boston College and was in the United States Army. Fr. Kenneally was ordained in 1953 and worked in St. Jerome's Church, Weymouth, St. Mary's Church, Dedham and St. Andrew's Church, Forest Hills. He entered the Army Chaplain Corps and served in Korea from 1963 until his discharge as a Captain in 1967. Fr. Kenneally also served Holy Name Church in West Roxbury, St. Ann's Church in Quincy, St. Matthew's Church in Dorchester, St. Mary's Church in Foxboro, St. Bonaventure Church in Plymouth, Saint Agatha Church in Milton, and Regina Cleri Residence in Boston.

Fr. Kenneally was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Kenneally, the uncle of John of West Roxbury, Jean of Mansfield, Barbara Yates of Norfolk, Joan Walker of Whitman, Susan DiBona of Laconia, NH and Janet O'Neil of Worcester. Also survived by grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. He was the brother of the late John Jr., Mary Peloquin and Katherine Kenneally and the uncle of the late Andrew Peloquin Jr.

Fr. Kenneally will lie-in-state at Saint Agatha Church, Milton, Friday Oct. 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Agatha Church Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. Interment at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Randolph.
