Shawn Areias, 34, of 2301 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford had a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon continued to Jan. 4 for a hearing in Quincy District Court. The charge stems from a May 14 incident in Milton at 7 a.m. when police were dispatched to Route 28 for a report of a road rage incident involving a motorist who allegedly threw coffee at another driver.
