Shawn Areias, 34, of 2301 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford was arraigned in Quincy District Court on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and was released on personal recognizance. The charge stems from a May 14 incident in Milton at 7 a.m. when police responded to a report of a road rage incident on Route 28 involving a person allegedly throwing a cup filled with coffee in the victim's face, causing a laceration on the nose.
