Today is Thursday, January 19. Here are five things you need to know.
1. Overnight snow likely: Today will be sunny with a high around 28, according to the National Weather Service. Snow is likely to fly tonight between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. New accumulations between 1 and 3 inches are possible.
2. Opening night: Pierce Middle School will host Guys and Dolls Jr. tonight and tomorrow. Both performances begin at 7 p.m. in the Pierce Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students, and available at the door or by calling 617-696-4570.
3. Selectmen meeting: The Milton Board of Selectmen will meet tonight 6:30 at Town Hall. The agenda includes a public hearing on NSTAR Conduit Grant of Location and a discussion of the 2012 Annual Town Meeting.
