Five Things You Need to Know Today: January 30

Today you should know about Special Town Meeting, library happenings and more.

Today is Monday, January 30. Here are five things you need to know.

1. Partly cloudy, breezy: The National Weather Service is forecasting a partly cloudy, breezy day with a high around 38, today in Milton. We can expect a west wind between 16 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Tonight’s low temperature will be near 26.

2. Special Town Meeting: The Milton Special Town Meeting is set for tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Milton High School. There are eight items on the Warrant including a lease for Ulin Rink. For the full Warrant, click here.

3. The Job Doctor is out: The weekly chat with career expert Roni Noland, the Milton Job Doctor, at the Milton Public Library is cancelled for today. Roni will be back at her usual Monday walk-in hours on February 6 at 10:30 a.m. In the meantime, you can read her latest Milton Patch column, here.

4. Share your news: Would you like to share your group or organizations news with the community? Become a Milton Patch blogger. Email adamr@patch.com

5. Library suggestion box: Do you have a suggestion on how to improve the Milton Public Library? Library Director Phil McNulty is now addressing suggestions and concerns online. You can submit your comments at miltonlibrary.org or in the suggestion box in the library and McNulty will address them, here.
