Fontbonne Hosts Successful International Festival

held its annual International Festival on Sunday, October 23.  It was a celebration of cultures from around the world. 

Many Fontbonne students took part by wearing costumes from other cultures; singing songs and reading poems in foreign languages, and performing traditional dances from cultures around the globe. The event finale was an international buffet. 

Fontbonne donated the proceeds from the event, $500, to Mir Pace International, an organization that helps the impoverished people of Guatemala. The co-founder of Hull-based Mir Pace, Eileen Weisslinger, was on hand to thank the Fontbonne community for their generous donation. More information on the organization is at www.mirpace.org.
