Hanukah Discussion, Milton High Parent/Teacher Conferences, Board Meetings

Today is Tuesday, November 13. Here are five things you need to know.

1. Showers likely: The National Weather Service is forecasting a cloudy, rainy day for Milton. The daytime high will be near 54.

2. Hanukah discussion: Rabbi Benjamin of Temple Shalom will lead a discussion called “Was Hanukah the Jewish Arab Spring?” tonight at the Milton Public Library from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

3. Parent/teacher conferences: Milton High School will hold evening parent/teacher conferences tonight at the school. The system will have half-day release for conferences on Wednesday.

4. Milton meetings: There will be two meetings tonight at Town Hall. The Personnel Board will meet at 7 and the Conservation Commission will meet at 7:30.

5. Back in business: After being closed in observance of Veterans Day on Monday, town, state and federal buildings, including schools and post offices, will be open today. There will be a one-day delay in trash collection this week in Milton.
