Milton Museum Plans Art Event
The Forbes House in Milton will hold its first annual Paint Out and Wet Paint Sale on Saturday.
Visual artists and art collectors are invited to attend the first annual Paint Out and Wet Paint Sale at Forbes House Museum on Saturday, June 23.
Beginning at 9 a.m., artists from across New England will create landscape paintings on Milton Hill, including Governor Hutchinson's Field, the Neponset River marshes and Boston Harbor in the distance. Thirty artists are presently registered to participate in the daylong event, including Sharon Allen, founder of the New Hampshire Plein Air Artists, and Dorchester’s Vincent Crotty.
From 4 to 5 p.m., artists will convene in the galleries of the Forbes House for an exhibition and sale of their works of art. Art collectors and lovers of original artworks are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
The event is made possible through collaboration between the museum and the New Hampshire artists. The event is open to all artists and painting mediums.
Visit www.forbeshousemuseum.org/calendar.html to download the registration form and guidelines.
For more information, contact the museum at (617) 696-1815. Artists may also contact Sharon Allen at hookedonpleinair@yahoo.com.
