Milton Police Seek Suspect in Sovereign Bank Robbery

The Sovereign Bank in East Milton was robbed on August 30.

The Milton Police Department is pursuing a suspect wanted for robbing an East Milton Square bank on Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to Sovereign Bank on Adams Street at 6:28 p.m. on August 30 for a report of a robbery.

According to Deputy Chief Charles Paris, the department has a suspect in the crime.

Witnesses reported a white male in his late 20s or 30s entered the bank, and handed a teller a note that demanded money.

The suspect is 6’4” with a thin build and blue eyes. The man was wearing grey sweatpants, a blue shirt with a grey sweatshirt tied around his neck and a black or blue baseball cap.

After leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, some of which fell out of his pockets, the suspect fled toward Mechanic Street. It is unknown if the suspect left in a vehicle or on foot.

The Sovereign Bank was robbed in a similar manner on July 23. Paris said the two crimes are not related.
