Milton resident Mike Shepard was one of 11 Roxbury Latin students to receive honors at the 2012 Boston Globe-Scholastic Art Awards. Shepard earned a Gold Key, the competition’s highest honor, for his work entitled, “Out of the Blue.”
Over 14,000 pieces of art from Massachusetts students in grades 7 through 12, participated in the competition, according to Roxbury Latin.
All Gold Key and Silver Key honorees will be on display at the State Transportation Building at 10 Park Plaza, Boston, beginning February 13.
Shepard’s piece along with other Gold Key winners around the country will be entered in a national competition.

That is a very intriguing image. The piece looks as though it is an etching. I like the anonymous quality of the person...but I want to know more. Congratulations on the honor awarded to you.
