Abigail Johnson, the president of Fidelity Investments Personal and Workplace Investing, made the list at number 27. The rank makes Johnson the fourth richest woman in America, behind Christy Walton and Alice Walton of Walmart wealth and candy heiress Jacqueline Mars.
According to her profile on forbes.com, the 50-year-old Milton resident has a net worth of $11.8 billion as of September 2012.
Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates leads the Forbes 400 with a net worth of $66 billion.
