Milton Residents Plead Not Guilty in ‘Make it Nasty’ Pool Party Charges
The owners of a Mark Lane home charged with selling alcohol at a large pool party on Labor Day weekend were arraigned Wednesday.
The owners of 4 Mark Lane in Milton were arraigned in Quincy District Court on Wednesday morning for allegedly selling liquor without a permit. The charges stem from an August 31 party, marketed at as the “Make it Nasty Mansion Pool Party,” that was attended by nearly 1,500 people.
According to Boston.com, Steve and Sharon Mathieu pled not guilty to the charges and are due back in court on February 28 for a pretrial hearing.
The couple’s attorney Randall K. Power told Boston.com that the couple let a family friend use the home for a fundraiser and were unaware of the advertising material.
Milton Police responded to the residence early on the morning of Saturday, September 1, to disperse a crowd of between 1,000 and 1,5000 party-goers. The party was held in the Mathieu’s detached pool house.
According to promotional fliers, Broz 4 Lyfe and Bed Rock Bros. presented the party.
