Police Log: Friday Night Chase Ends With Crash in Boston

This is an excerpt from the Milton Police Log from Friday, July 23 to Sunday, July 25.

 

  • At 3:41 a.m. Friday, an officer reported a vehicle was refusing to stop. The officer followed the vehicle into Boston until it crashed at the intersection of Truman Parkway and Neponset Valley Parkway. The suspect, a Hispanic male wearing khaki pants and a white t-shirt, fled on foot into the wooded area. Boston Police and State Police were notified. The State Police concluded the search with the K9 unit with negative results.
  • At 8:48 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a suitcase with a clock on it outside a Centre Street home. The responding officer reported the item was an air compressor, not a suitcase, and threw it in the dumpster.
  • At 5:30 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a hit and run property damage/personal injury accident at the intersection of Reedsdale Road and Thompson Lane. One party was transported to Milton Hospital. One adult male was placed under arrest for violations of auto laws. The prisoner was bailed at 8 p.m.
  • At 3:59 a.m. Saturday, a caller on Cabot Street reported she heard someone trying to enter her tome at approximately 3:45 a.m. The caller reported she heard someone open the screen door. The party did not gain entry. Officers checked the surrounding areas and report the party is gone on arrival.
  • At 9:20 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a raccoon at the service entrance behind the golf carts at Wollaston Golf Club. The responding officer reported the raccoon was elevated against a brick wall and there was nothing he could do.
  • At 3:22 p.m. Saturday, a caller on Churchill Street reported a youth fight. The responding officer reported a dog scared three young children, which led to a verbal argument between the dog owner and the parent of the children. The officer reported peace was restored.
  • At 10:25 p.m. Sunday, multiple callers reported a domestic disturbance on Belvoir Road. Officers reported one adult male was placed under arrest for aggravated assault and battery.
  • At 5:49 p.m. Sunday. A caller reported a group of youths playing football on the Milton High School football field. The responding officer advised the youths they cannot trespass on the fields and sent them on their way.
  • At 6:00 p.m. Sunday, a resident of Beale Street reported when she returned home she found the rear glass door of her home smashed. Officers confirmed there was a break in and searched the residence. 
  • At 5:16 p.m. Sunday, State Police reported an unresponsive male party at Houghton's Pond. Fallons transported one party to Milton Hospital.
