VIDEO: Civil War Re-enactors at Forbes House Museum

Re-enactors performed drills and gave speeches as part of the annual Lincoln Day celebration at the Forbes House Museum.

As with in past years, the re-enactors at the ’s  celebration were the major draw. On Sunday, February 12, attendees lined the back of the home to watch a re-enactor of First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln inspect and address the troops.

Aside from the re-enactor for Lincoln’s wife, the 7th Tennesse Company G, 22nd Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Salem Zuaves, U.S. Sanitary Commission and others donned garb from the Civil War era to entertain and inform those at the event.
