VIDEO: Patch Editor Participates in K9 Demonstration
The National Night Out at the Milton Police Department featured a K9 Demonstration, which included a cameo from Milton Patch Editor Adam Roberts.
During the National Night Out event at the Milton Police Station on Wednesday, August 3, officers from Milton, Bellingham and the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office provided a K9 Unit demonstration.
After volunteering to suit up and take a bite from two dogs last year, I was elated to get the chance again at Wednesday's event.
Armed with the knowledge I would be safe in the large bite suit, I decided to add another element to my second round against the police canines, a helmet cam.
Though I have participated in a pair of demonstrations, Milton Canine Officer Larry Lundrigan assured me I was not an expert until I took a live bite, sans suit. This is not a challenge I am – or will ever – be up for.
The video features Norfolk County Sheriff Sgt. Brian Bersani and K9 Basko and Bellingham Canine Officer Leonard Gosselin with his K9 Spyder.
