What Advice Would You Give the Incoming High School Freshmen?

Share your best advice with the Class of 2016 before they start high school.

The start of school is just a few weeks away. For a crop of Milton students at Milton High School, Fontbonne Academy, Milton Academy and many area private schools, the first day of classes means the start of a four-year journey to a diploma.

As these students move up into grades defined by words like freshman and sophomore rather than numbers, they’ll be faced with new social situations, more rigorous academics and growing up in general.

Think back to your days as an incoming freshman. What kind of advice do you wish you’d received?

Always remember your own goals and objectives for success and stay away from those who lead lives less than what you expect for yourself. You are an emerging adult and are responsible for your own actions.
