On Friday, January 6, the Milton boys varsity basketball team travelled to Newton North to play the undefeated Tigers.
The Tigers (6-0) played a smooth controlled game keeping the Wildcats on the defense all night and winning the game 66-31.
In the first quarter of play the Wildcats were holding their own and running with the Tigers, but by halftime Milton had fallen behind 33-10.
The second half was all Tigers as the Wildcats would lose 66-31.
“Newton North is a great team. We never really got going. We were missing some of our starting players tonight, but probably wouldn’t have changed much,” stated Coach Sean LoPresti.
The Wildcats (0-5) will be looking for their first win on Tuesday, January 10, against Natick. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
