The Wakefield Estate is reviving its "Winter Stone Soup" gatherings the Thursday with a new twist. In the past, the estate's stone soup gatherings were held at mid-day, a time many found difficult to break away. This year, our Stone Soup Series will be held on the final Thursday of each month with tasty soup and a featured speaker. For January, our own Landscape Director Deb Merriam will be discussing the estate's approach to some of the more challenging invasive plants now facing landowners and gardeners. More About Wakefield Estate
The Wakefield Estate is located on Brush Hill Road in Milton. The historic property is a host to a variety of community programs including youth science courses, hands-on landscaping workshops, volunteer gardening programs, summer internships, programs for teens and year-round history and nature lectures.
