The Wakefield Estate’s second "Winter Stone Soup" gathering will feature remarks by Alex Whiteside, chair of the Milton Planning Board and head of an effort to restore the Broderick Stables located at the State Police Headquarters on Hillside Street. Alex is spearheading a group of interested volunteers to explore means of restoring this 100 year-old historic building. As Alex points out, "we can all continue to look at it as an eyesore, or we can join together and try to improve it."
Enjoy tasty soup and learn about preservation efforts in Milton and interest in rehabilitating the Broderick Stables.

The Wakefield Estate is located on Brush Hill Road in Milton. The historic property is a host to a variety of community programs including youth science courses, hands-on landscaping workshops, volunteer gardening programs, summer internships, programs for teens and year-round history and nature lectures.
