Here are five things you need to know Tuesday, Jan. 7.

1. Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high around 16 in Milton, according to the National Weather Service. Wind chill values will be as low as -8.

2. The work of photographer Paul Ware will be on display at the Wotiz Gallery at the Milton Public Library in January. A reception will be held on Tuesday night at 6.

3. The Board of Appeals will meet on Tuesday, at 7 p.m., in the Blute Conference Room at Town Hall.

4. Milton Public Library Director Will Adamczyk will lead a discussion of Stephanie Schorow's book, The Crime of the Century: How the Brinks Robbers Stole Millions and the Hearts of Boston, on Tuesday at the library. The program will start at 7 p.m.

5. Trash and recycling will be delayed by a day due to last week's severe winter weather.
