It's a Toilet, Not a Wastebasket! Milton Students Win MWRA Poster and Writing Contests
We are pleased to announce that two Milton students have won MWRA’s Annual Poster and Writing Contests.
Milan Smith, a seventh-grader at the Pierce Middle School, won Third Place in the Poster Contest.
Noah Browne, a fifth-grade student at the St. Mary of the Hills School, won Honorable Mention for his essay, “It’s Just a Toilet! – Not a Wastebasket!”

This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to create posters, essays and short videos to promote the importance of flushing responsibly. Nearly 4,000 students entered the contest.
All of the winning posters and essays are available for viewing on www.mwra.com and at the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum through the July 4th weekend. The videos are posted on MWRA's YouTube page.
