Milton Youths Travel to Nashville for Model UN Conference
Charles Hajjar and William O'Carroll of Milton, sophomores at Boston College High School, and members of the school's Model United Nations Club, traveled to Nashville, Tenn for a three day conference at Vanderbilt University. At the assembly, Hajjar represented Iran in the SOCHUM Committee (Social Cultural Humanitarian Affairs Committee), O'Carroll represented Namibia in the UN Task Force Committee.
While in Nashville, Hajjar and O'Carroll and their 21 fellow students dined at the historic Wildhorse Saloon, where they learned to dance the two-step.The group also toured Vanderbilt University and visited Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, which included his grave site, mansion, estate and Presidential Library.
Boston College High School is a Jesuit, Catholic, college-preparatory school for young men founded in 1863. The school enrolls approximately 1600 students from more than 100 communities in eastern Massachusetts. For more http://www.bchigh.edu
