Experience One World Day at the Zoo!

Franklin Park Zoo is thrilled to be working with local community partners to present One World Day, an event featuring dance, music and cultural demonstrations, learning and fun to celebrate the diverse cultures from around the world in our surrounding community. Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to watch traditional dances, including Japanese Taiko drumming, Puerto Rican Plena dance and song, Irish step dancing, professional salsa duos, Vietnamese martial arts (vovinam) and lion dancing, Greek folk dancing, Chinese traditional dance, African folk tales and song, and much more!

 

Participating partners include the Native American Indian Center of Boston, Salsa y Control, Boston Lykeion Ellinidon, Odaiko New England, Las Planeras de la Villa, O’Shea-Chaplin School of Irish Dance, Dance Revelasian, VietAid, Nigerian American Community Organization INC, Boston Dance Alliance and many more.
