Friends of the Milton Public Library Launches Membership Drive

The Friends of the Milton Public Library are recruiting members.

It’s time for “Giving Thanks for Friends.” The Friends of the Milton Public Library is launching its annual membership drive, elated at what membership dues have made possible this past year.

Programming for children, teens and adults – story times, magic shows, cooking and yoga for kids, films, workshops, author lectures, concerts, summer cookouts and ice cream socials have been a success.

The cost of a $25 “family membership” easily comes back in benefits such as free programs, passes to ten museums and attractions, snacks in the Library Café, and finding great books at the Friends of the Library Book Shop, open four days each week.

At Barnes and Noble in Braintree, free gift wrapping will be part of the Friends’ membership drive. On Saturday, November 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. members of the Friends will wrap customer purchases.  The service is free, but any tips will benefit programming for the Milton Library.
