Missing Dog Spotted, Still on Loose Near Blue Hills

Layla was last seen near Great Blue Hill.

Update from owner afternoon of Nov. 25: One more Layla update - I've spoken with Milton animal control who are on the trail. Their advice at this point is to please give them a call (617-698-0455) if you see her (detailing exact time/location of sighting), but to not try to call her/grab her. Their hope is that she will be more likely to stay in the Silver Brook Road neighborhood if she does not feel harassed by people, and then they can figure out the best place to set a live trap.

Thank you for all continued assistance!

Update Nov. 25, from owner Meredith Gangler on Facebook:
Layla has been spotted the last three mornings hanging out in a neighborhood off Blue Hill River Road, specifically on Silver Brook Road. She's been seen in the backyards, then crossing the street back into the reservation (this is by Houghton pond). If anyone makes a pass through there and happen to come across her, she's unfortunately shying away from the people she's encountering. Trying to gently lure her to you, with food if you have any, would hopefully work best.

A reminder of her description: small lab mix, 35lbs, black with a white patch on her chest. At time of disappearance she was wearing a black and pink collar and black harness.

Thanks for continuing to stay on the lookout!

Layla went missing somewhere near Blue Hills Wednesday, and the owners are asking for residents to keep an eye out for her.

From a Friends of Blue Hills Facebook post by way of Meredith Gangler: "Thanks to everyone who is continuing to keep an eye out for Layla, last seen near Great Blue Hill two days ago. If anyone sights her, or even better is able to coax her to them, I would sincerely appreciate a call! 214-629-6098"
