MBTA Rejects Pro-Israel Ad, Says It's 'Demeaning'

The Pro-Israel group the American Freedom Defense Initiative is appealing an MBTA decision to reject its ad.

A Pro-Israel group is suing the MBTA after it rejected a proposed advertisement because it was “demeaning or disparaging,”reported The Boston Globe.

The American Freedom Defense Initiative’s sign reads “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel; defeat Jihad.”

The MBTA said the ad violates their advertising guidelines, which caused AFDI to file a complaint in US District Court saying the transit authority is trying to censor the group. AFDI also pointed to a pro-Palestine ad that was originally rejected, but eventually allowed on the MBTA, reported The Boston Globe.
