Milton's Heritage Hall Hosts Homeless Veterans Event

A group of homeless veterans were given free boots at an event that featured Boston Bruins players and the Dropkick Murphys.

Local celebrities and athletes gathered in Milton for a homeless veterans benefit event in late December. The event was organized by We Salute You Veterans Foundation, which provides various services to veterans.

Vibram, which provides its high performance rubber soles to the U.S. Military, donated more than 60 pairs of boots to local homeless veterans.

The Dropkick Murphys, comedian Lenny Clarke, Boston Bruin Milan Lucic and former Bruins Bob Sweeney and Lyndon Byers were all scheduled to attend the “We Salute You Veterans Holiday Benefit” at Heritage Hall, the home of Milton Legion Post 114.
