Resurfacing on I-93 to Impact Multiple Communities

Milton is not directly impacted, but a drive up north could be.

Construction in Woburn and Wilmington is likely to impact traffic in both directions of I-93 in the near future, according to the Boston Globe.

The newspaper reported that resurfacing work on six miles of I-93 just north of the I-95 interchange and stretching to the overpass of Haverhill line railroad will take place in 2014 and 2015 after the project was recently awarded to a contractor. Some of the work may begin this fall.

MassDOT spokesman Mike Verseckes told The Globe that much of the work will take place late at night from Sunday through Thursday.
