Wotiz Gallery Art Collection to Benefit Milton Food Pantry

This month's "Pastels for the Pantry" exhibit will help stock the shelves at the Milton Food Pantry.

The local art featured at the Wotiz Gallery at the Milton Public Library usually highlights the top-notch painting and photography being done in the area, but the December display is going a step further, giving back to the community.

A collective of local artists called “Painters for a Purpose” created the “Pastels for the Pantry” exhibit, which will be featured all month.

Thirty percent of the proceeds from the sale of this local art will be donated to the Milton Food Pantry to stock the shelves this winter.

While the art will be on display whenever the library is open, a special reception will be held this Saturday, December 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. to mark the opening of this community-minded collection.
