'Stonados' Threaten Boston in SyFy's Latest B-Movie

Have you seen it? It's "Sharknado" except in Massachusetts, not California. And with boulders, not sharks.

In "Stonados" — a SyFy Channellow-budget flick about New England weather getting even weirder than usual — massive stones thrown from tornados destroy the Pru, pound the Bunker Hill Monument and terrify tourists on the Swan Boats.

"Stonados" debuted Saturday. You can see reviews roll in via the attached Twitter feed.

The premise may seem familiar. In July the channel's "Sharknado" went viral. In that action fest, a freak storm throws man-eating sharks onto the streets of Los Angeles.

Producers delayed the release of "Stonados" — originally set for April 27 —because of the Marathon bombings, according to Deadline.com. A since-discarded tag line read "Boston is about to make history...one last time."
