88 Wharf Restaurant Announces Consulting Partnership

Restaurant team Jennifer Ziskin and Chef Josh Ziskin, of La Morra in Brookline, will collaborate with Milton’s , beginning this spring.

Josh will serve as the Consulting Executive Chef, bringing Italian and Irish influences to the restaurant’s menu, according to a press release from 88 Wharf. Jennifer, who has 10 years of front-of-house experience, will manage parties and catering at the restaurant. She will also revamp the wine list, incorporating more Italian wines.

“We are truly thrilled to be working with the Ziskins on this project and are excited to show our guests what we’ve been planning,” said owner Matthew Sullivan in a release from the restaurant. “While the new menu is one that will please our existing customers, we look forward to welcoming new faces as well.”

La Morra, 48 Boylston Street in Brookline, opened in 2003. The restaurant, which features traditional northern Italian items, is named for the town in the Piedmont region of Italy where Josh began his training.

That training and background will influence the new menu at 88 Wharf.

“It’s a beautiful restaurant that lends itself as a perfect setting for an American-style menu with an Italian influence,” said Josh Ziskin. “The staff are extremely enthusiastic about the changes which will make our transformation easier. It will be an exciting challenge, but we are up for the task and excited about the growth potential of 88 Wharf.”

The bar will also see some changes with the addition of Joshua Childs, of Boston’s Silvertone Bar and Grill and Trina’s Starlite Lounge in Cambridge. Childs will overhaul the cocktail menu with items like an Aperol Spritz and a bourbon and house-infused ginger syrup cocktail, among other things.

88 Wharf Riverfront Dining is open Monday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. On Friday and Saturday the restaurant is open from 5 to 11 p.m. Sunday brunch is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday dinner is served from 5 to 9 p.m.C
