Bent's Named Best Sandwich in Milton

The voters have spoken loudly in the most recent poll to determine the best place to find a sandwich in Milton. earned 75 percent of the 61 votes that were cast.

Bent’s, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, built a reputation on hardtack crackers in the 19th Century. While owners Melanie and Jim Davis still make Pilot Crackers, the deli on the first floor has become a popular sandwich stop for Milton residents.

The diverse menu is filled with tasty sandwiches named after streets and locations that are familiar to locals.

Commenter Katherine Simpson summed up the poll, writing, “For sandwiches, Bent's wins hands down.”

While Bent’s won handedly, finished in second place with 8 percent of the vote.

The Best of Readers’ Choice poll will continue next Monday when we set out to find the best place to do your taxes last minute. The poll opens at 5:45 a.m. on Monday, April 2, and will close at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 6. The winner will be announced at noon on Friday.
