Milton Yoga Celebrates One-Year Anniversary, Announces New Milton Space

Milton Yoga opened one year ago today and is planning to expand into a new location the coming months.

, a community and education based yoga studio, celebrates its one year birthday today, May 2nd, and announces the opening of new, dedicated studio at 10 Brush Hill Road in Milton.

In celebration of its birthday, Milton Yoga is offering classes for $1. From May 2nd through May 6th, all classes at the studio will be one dollar.  

"I wanted to give something back to the community and the students who have made this year so successful," said Owner and Teacher at Milton Yoga, Sean McCarthy. "When I opened a year ago in the midst of a troubling economy, I knew there was a need for yoga in my hometown. I opened in shared space with the Carriage House School to help build the business and foster an educational environment. I had no idea how many people would come and make Milton Yoga the successful yoga community it is today."

Although there are other yoga studios in surrounding areas, Milton Yoga offers more options for classes at varying levels and styles of yoga. There is truly something for everyone.

"At Milton Yoga, we have diverse students - ages 3 to 73, marathon runners looking to stretch out, mom's bringing their children to Kids Yoga and taking classes themselves; beginners to advanced and every level in between. Whatever your intention, we help you achieve it!," McCarthy said.

Milton Yoga will open a new dedicated location in early June, at 10 Brush Hill Road, Milton. This new space will feature two studios - allowing for twice as many classes.  

"The new space has great energy and light, it is perfect for fostering learning, growth and sharing a passion of mine.  My goal is to share the practice of yoga with Milton and surrounding communities in a fun, expressive, playful way," McCarthy said, continuing: "Whether you live, work or play on the South Shore, Milton Yoga is the place to work on strength, flexibility, balance the weight of your body, reduce stress and restore a sense of calm to your day."

Milton Yoga is owned by Milton resident, Sean McCarthy and currently employs 6 additional area instructors- including Corin Cashman, Dan Rudolph, Jennifer Prohaska, Siri Khalsa, Lauren Delaney, Nicole Burrill (The Sassy Yogini) and Andy Kelley (The Boston Buddha). Classes are friendly and non-competitive, allowing for all to feel at home with Milton Yoga.

Styles of yoga include Vinyasa, Hatha, Hot Yoga, Power Yoga, Kids Yoga, Beginners Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yoga Fusion as well as Meditation classes.
