New Pizza and Wings Spot Opening in East Milton Square

Ghani Sanoussi, an experienced restauranteur who has operated pizza places in the Boston area, is opening Zach's Pizza in East Milton Square later this week.

The eatery replaces Mozzarella's Pizzeria at 538 Adams St. Zach's will also have pizza and delivery, but will set itself apart with a large, diverse menu, Sanoussi said.

Giant calzones, specialty pizzas with toppings like mac and cheese and chicken ranch, gyros, salads and homemade burgers are a sampling of what will be on the menu. Sanoussi also offers 30 flavors of sauce and rub for his chicken wings, and has several items inspired by his native country of Morocco.

"It's what I do best," he said of his passion for cooking. "I enjoy it."

Sanoussi lives in Milton with his wife Heidi, 4-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son Zach, who is a fourth grader at Collicot Elementary School.

He took over the space from Mozarella's on Aug. 1 and is scheduled to open Aug. 15. It is a great location, convenient to where he lives and well-trafficked, Sanoussi said.

"I want to give something to my community," he said. "When opportunity came, I took it."
