THE ELLIE FUND APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Ellie Fund is thrilled to announce the appointment of Cathi M. Connelly as the organization’s Executive Director. In her new role, Ms. Connelly will oversee all aspects of The Ellie Fund including advancement, communications and marketing.

“We’re so excited to welcome Cathi to The Ellie Fund family,” said Jeff Popkin, Ellie Fund Co-Founder and Board President. “Her wealth of experience in the non-profit sector will be an integral part of our continued growth well into the future.”

Ms. Connelly brings nearly ten years of experience to The Ellie Fund. Most recently, she acted as the Executive Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in San Francisco, CA. In that role, she was responsible for In that role, she was responsible for providing overall strategic and operational direction for staff, programs, and organizational expansion. Ms. Connelly was integral in developing fundraising strategies and cultivating long-term corporate partnerships.

Prior to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Ms. Connelly was the Principal of Connelly Consulting Group in San Francisco.

The Ellie Fund helps over 500 women and families each year. Ms. Connelly is excited to network with greater Boston area contacts about strategic and corporate partnerships, grant and development RFP's.

“I’m delighted to join The Ellie Fund, an organization devoted to the selfless cause of assisting women and their families affected by breast cancer,” said Ms. Connelly. “Our mission of fighting breast cancer by easing its effects on patients in treatment and their families is unique and something essential to bettering the lives of Massachusetts women suffering from this disease.”

Ms. Connelly earned her Master in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco in San Francisco, CA and her Master of Business Administration, Marketing and Leadership at Holy Names University in Oakland, CA. She currently resides in Milton, MA.
