Amateur Gardeners Bring Garden Therapy to Senior Center

The Amateur Gardeners of Milton hosted its annual Valentine's Day event at the Council on Aging.

Beautiful flowers are a common sight on Valentine's Day. The same can be said at the Milton Council on Aging, thanks to the Amateur Gardeners of Milton.

The Annual Valentine's Day Luncheon and Garden Therapy Workshop united the gardening club with Milton seniors on Thursday, February 14, for the creation of flower arrangments.

Ginny Corcoran of the Amateur Gardeners of Milton called the event, "A favorite program of the Amateur Gardeners and the seniors, who once again all worked together to create a beautiful arrangement for each senior to bring home for their enjoyment."

Aside from going home with a flower display, attendees were treated to lunch and music from the Milton High School Quartet.

"Many thanks to Maryann Sullivan, Phillip Driscoll and Nancy Stuart and Alice Mercer for getting the word out to all," said Corcoran.
