2. Intro to ebooks: The Milton Public Library will hold an information session about the library’s two ebook lending services tonight at 7. The workshop will outline the differences between Overdrive and Freading, as well as review the checkout process.

3. Book discussion: The library book discussion group will meet today to discuss "Hypothermia" by Armaldur Indridason. One session will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Winter Valley, with a second discussion at 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Public Library.

4. New art: The photography of Lonne Landrey will be on display in the Wotiz Gallery at the Milton Public Library throughout October. The work of the Hyde Park photographer can be viewed during library hours.

5. Lock doors and windows: The Milton Police Department periodically reminds residents to lock doors and windows to protect against daytime breaking and entering crimes. Remember to lock up before heading to work this morning.
