The Verizon Wireless Team Penske No. 12  Indy Car will be at BJs, 200 Crown Colony Dr., Quincy, from 12 to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday this weekend. Stop by for product demonstrations, games and most importantly a chance to see an Indy Car in person.

Yard Sale to Benefit Dana Farber Cancer Institute

A multi-family yard sale, which will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Everything from table saws to glassware will be for sale. The sale will be held at 525 Brook Rd. 

Brookwood Farm Jam Making

is offering a natural fruit jam making seminar, 1 p.m. Saturday at . Bonnie Shershow of Bonnie's Jams will show participants the entire process including the preparation of a jam-filled dessert. Album Release Party

Milton singer and songwriter Kiri Cormack will release her second album, "Crash EP," on Saturday night at Riverside Theatre Works, 45 Fairmount Ave., Hyde Park. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with the performance starting at 8 p.m. Tickets, which are $5 for students and $15 for adults, will be available at the door or by calling 617-361-7024.

The Secret Lives of Fireflies

The is hosting a presentation followed by a guided walk on one of summer's great sights: the firefly. Don Salvatore of the Museum of Science's Firefly Watch Citizen Science project will lead the program, which starts at 8 p.m. No registration is required.  Mass Audubon Members: Adults $6/Children $4, Non-members: Adults $8/Children $6.
