Today is Friday, January 25. Here are five things you need to know.

1. Overnight snow: There is a 60 percent chance of snow overnight, according to the National Weather Service. Today’s high will be around 23 with wind chill values as low as –18.

2. Senior film: The Council on Aging will show “A Little Bit of Heaven” starring Kate Hudson today after lunch at 11:30. No advance registration necessary to watch the movie.

3. Chess-a-Palooza: The second annual Chess-a-Palooza will take place at the Milton Public Library on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  International Master David Vigorito will serve as tournament director.

4. Community forum: A Master Plan Community Forum will be held at the Tucker School from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The forum is part of the town’s new master plan.

5. Weekend weather: According to the National Weather Service, Saturday’s high will be near 26 with a nighttime low around 11. Sunday’s high will be near 30. The overnight low Sunday will be around 15.
