Milton Job Doctor Logs Farewell Column

The Milton Job Doctor says goodbye to her Milton Patch readers, but not to the Milton community. She reflects on her 40+ columns, and encourages job seekers to seek her help during her walk-in hours at the Milton Public Library.

For the past 21 months. I have enjoyed giving career advice, answering your questions and profiling people and businesses in Milton. It has been my joy to find inspiration in the neighbors whom I have met, interviewed and written about.

I have profiled our educators, our public servants, our artists, our businessmen and women, and I have learned something from each and every one of them.  All have been passionate about their work; all were generous with their time and with their advice for others; and all were deeply connected to the Milton community. I want to thank all of the people who took time out of their busy schedules to be interviewed.

Even during these trying economic times, I was struck by how willing people in the Milton community have been to help each other. People were willing to share both their triumphs and struggles in telling their personal stories.

Unfortunately, this will be my final column for Milton Patch.  However, I look forward to continuing to serve the employment needs of the Milton community, in several other ways.

You can still find me on the second floor of the every Monday morning from 10:30 a.m. to noon. You can walk-in during those hours to show me your resume or cover letter, or to ask me any questions you many have about job search strategy (e.g.,networking, interviewing and follow up). I look forward to meeting you and having a chance to chat.
