Today is Tuesday, January 29. Here are five things you need to know.

1. Cloudy: Following an evening and night of snow and sleet, there is a slight chance similar precipitation until noon today, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, today will be cloudy with a high near 34.

2. Budget discussion at MHS: The Milton Public Schools administration will be making FY14 budget presentations at PTO meetings over the next two weeks. The Pierce Middle School and Milton High School presentation will be held at Milton High tonight at 7.

3. Diabetic Support Group: Today the Milton Council on Aging will host its Diabetic Support Group at 1 p.m.

4. Buy or donate: Whether you’re looking to purchase used books or donate some, the Friends Book Shop, located in the lower level of the Milton Public Library is the right place. The shop will be open today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

5. Baby Rhyme Time: Little library patrons and their caregivers are invited to the Milton Public Library at 11 this morning for Baby Rhyme Time. The free event will feature music and nursery rhymes.
