Heavy rain and high winds from Tropical Storm Irene hit the region, one year ago today.
One year ago today, August 28, stormed up the east coast, hitting much of New England, including Milton.
Throughout the course of that Sunday, wind and rain pounded the town. Many Milton homes lost power during the storm and tree limbs were torn down across Milton.
