Routine Maintenance May Cause Water Discoloration in Milton

Work on Milton's water system inside of Canton Avenue, Brook Road, Reedsdale Road and to all connecting streets may cause discolored water. This water is still safe for drinking and cooking.

The Town of Milton is performing routine maintenance on its’ water system which has resulted in some discoloring of the water in some parts of Town.

The area affected runs inside of Canton Avenue, Brook Road, Reedsdale Road and to all connecting streets.

If discolored water does occur, it is a result from a small amount of iron in local pipes. While it is still safe for drinking, cooking and other uses, please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used.
