Senior Center Honors Milton Veterans
Hugh Gardner, a WWII veteran, shared his military experience at the Milton Council on Aging last week.
The Milton Council on Aging held its 12th Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon before Veterans Day. WWII veteran Hugh Gardner was the event speaker and Senator Brian A. Joyce was in attendance.
According to a release from Joyce’s office Gardner, “discussed his service in more than half a dozen countries as part of the Army Air Forces, and his firsthand experience meeting such figures as General Omar Bradley, British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, and Supreme Allied Commander Dwight Eisenhower.”
