Alex Dhima of Milton to appear in Boston Children's Theatre's production of PIPPIN July 19 - 21

The winner of four
2013 Tony® Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, PIPPIN is truly magical and
extraordinary!  Boston Children’s Theatre
(BCT) is proud to present this thrilling musical to showcase the talents of 11-year
old Alex Dhima of Milton.  PIPPIN will be performed July 19 - 21
at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA.



Playing the role of
‘Player’ in the ensemble, Alex has been seen in BCT’s productions of Legally Blonde and Footloose.  With EPOCH
Assisted Living, he appeared in The
Pledge
and in The Fairy Tale at
the Brookline Library.  He can be seen in
the films Family Problems, Red Circles
and Heartbeats and Christmas Trees
and on television in a Care.com commercial and in an educational video entitled
Thing Big.  He is a student at Collicot Elementary
School.



With a score by
Stephen Schwartz, composer of Godspell
and Wicked, and book by Roger O.
Hirson, PIPPIN follows a young man
on his journey to find meaning in his life. Will he choose a happy, simple
existence or risk everything for a moment of glory?  Featuring such songs as “Corner of the Sky,”
“Magic to Do,” “Glory,” and “Morning Glow,” PIPPIN is directed by Lisa Yuen, director of BCT’s 2012 Studio 3 production
of Legally Blonde, with choreography
by Blair Beasley and Brianna Fallon, and music direction by Jaime Castellanos.

PIPPIN will be performed with 2 casts totaling 58 students between the ages of 9
and 14 at The Governor’s Academy, 1 Elm Street, Byfield, MA.  Alex will be performing Friday, July 19 at
7:30 pm, Saturday, July 20 at 2:00 pm and Sunday, July 21 at 7:30 pm. Tickets
