Choral Art Society of the South Shore Caberet au Chocolat "Dixieland Style"

The Choral Art Society, a community chorus of the South Shore, now in
its 55th season, will present its ninth annual Cabaret au Chocolat.  This
year, put on your beads and get ready to dance down the street to our Mardi Gras Style celebration.Our annual cabaret,  popular for its entertainment, plentiful and
delicious chocolate treats, and Auction, will feature chocolate, wine, and other
refreshments and Dixieland and New Orleans jazz from the Wolverines Jazz
Band.  "Since 1995 the Wolverine
Jazz Band has been entertaining lovers of Traditional Jazz all over Boston and
southern New England. In Massachusetts alone, they have raised the roof at the
Sherborn Inn, crisped the leaves at sundry Town Green summer concerts, and
flaked the varnish on church pews in the Boston suburbs."  There will be a bit of singing,
too!  Be sure to bid in the silent auction,
featuring Red Sox tickets, items from local businesses, themed gift baskets,
and many other surprises, from cooking to art to travel.

We are pleased to
announce that once again the proceeds from this event help us fund our annual
scholarship, awarded to a graduating senior from the South Shore who plans to
pursue music as a major in college with a concentration in theory, composition,
music management and merchandising, conducting, history, literature, theory, or
performance.  The opportunity to apply is
offered to students from Cohasset, Duxbury, Hingham, Hanover, Hull, Kingston,
Marshfield, Norwell, Pembroke, Plymouth, and Scituate. In addition, proceeds help
us provide outreach singing to nursing homes and hospitals and help us to
produce wonderful concerts, often accompanied by full orchestra, each season.

Tickets are $25 in
advance and are available at Buttonwood Books in Cohasset, Front Street Bookshop
in Scituate, Sunshine Pet Parlor in Hull, online at www.choralartsociety.org, or from chorus members.  Tickets
are $30 at the door.
