December Art Exhibit with Painter Sue Hoy at Milton Public Library

During the month of December, the Library will host local painter and art teacher, Sue Hoy, in the Wotiz Gallery.  Ms. Hoy's inspiration comes from her family and the endless beauty of New England.  Choosing subjects that capture attention and emotion, Sue strives to simplify shape and color to reflect the essence of the subject.  Her voyage towards simplicity, versus over-working and illustrating with paint, is ongoing.  She teaches art classes at Milton Art Center and Quincy Art Center and is a member of the Dedham Square Artists Guild.  Her work is also currently on display at Abby Park Restaurant in Milton.  There will be an open reception for this exhibit on Thursday evening, December 12th from 6 to 8 PM.  Sue's website is suehoy.com or you may contact her at suehoy@comcast.net.  For more information, call Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, at (617) 698-5757.  Please come and view this lovely display!
