Prostate Cancer Screening

Excluding some forms of skin cancer, prostate cancer in the United States is the most common cancer in men, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 2008 (the most recent year for which numbers are available), nearly one quarter of a million men in the United States were diagnosed with prostate cancer, and nearly 30,000 men in the United States died from prostate cancer.

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton will be offering free prostate cancer screenings on Tuesday, November 27th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Participants must have their blood drawn in advance, on a walk-in basis, November 19-26 in the hospital laboratory.
